Sussex County Veterans Service Resource Portal – provides resources related to health, housing, ID Cards, mental health/substance abuse services, and transportation. It also has valuable links to a number of services provided by non-profit organizations, State, and Federal Veteran resources.
Code 9 – provides education, support and viable self-help tools to all Public Safety Personnel and their families for the purpose of managing and reducing the compressive stress effects, such as PTSD and suicide.
Stand Beside Them provides free coaching and mentoring services to returning service members and their families/caregivers during their transition to civilian life. Their prime outreach is to post-9/11 veterans (OIF, OEF, OND) and their family members.
Financial Coaching Initiative is a joint effort between Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s offices of Financial Empowerment and Servicemember Affairs, providing free financial coaching to veterans.
Project Help – provides supportive services to veterans and their families during difficult times.
NJ Vet2Vet is a 24 hour/7-day a week helpline coordinated by Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care. The helpline features peer counseling for Veterans, members of the Air/Army National Guard, and family members. Another component is providing this population access to a support network of mental health professionals.
